Tips on how to use GradeMyClassroom.com
Getting Started
1. Register for a free GradeMyClassroom.com account.
2. List your favorite subjects, books, and interests on your profile.
3. Use our privacy settings to control who can see your personal profile.
4. Upload photos of your classroom.
5. By selecting the appropriate grade level, theme, and type (bulletin board, door design, or learning center) that applies to the photo being uploaded, you are helping sort photos into easy and searchable categories.
6. Search the site for other GREAT Classrooms!
Member Features
In order to use some of the features on this site, you must create an account and be signed in as a member. Here are some of the great features of the GradeMyClassroom.com site:
- Idea Book- By clicking the Add to Idea Book button when viewing any picture, you can easily add the photo to your Idea Book for easy viewing anytime. You can access your Idea Book by clicking on My Idea Book under the My Account tab.
- Share- GradeMyClassroom.com gives you the ablity to easily share your photos or other user photos on over 250 sites with a simple click of a button! When viewing a picture, click the Share button and select how you would like to share.
- E-Mail- You can easily E-Mail any photo by clicking on the Share button then E-Mail while viewing a picture.
- Flag/Report This Image- GradeMyClassroom.com has a community watch program where any user can report inappropriate images. Click the Report This Image button when viewing an image and tell us why it should be removed.
- Feature Images- For a image to be featured on the welcome page of the site, it has to be nominated by a user. Tell us why you like a particular classroom by clicking the Feature Request button while viewing a picture. We are looking for the most creative and unique rooms to feature.
- RSS Feed- This great feature can be used to get real time updates on newly uploaded classroom photos. You may also use the RSS link to subscribe to an e-mail list of updates or post the feed on your own website or blog! Copy and paste this link into your web browser or hit the RSS button on the site: feed://www.grademyclassroom.com/rss/images/newest
Profile Functions
- Invite Friends- Share your hard work with the world and invite your friends to the site to do the same! By going into the My Friends feature under My Account, you can easily invite co-workers and friends at the top right of the screen. An E-Mail template will prompt you for the rest of the information. If the invited person accepts the request, you will automatically by Friends on the site and have access to their profile.
- Friends- When you view several pictures from a particular user that you like, you may go to their profile and add them as a friend. This will give you easy access to any additional uploads they do through the My Friends feature of the site.
- Message- You may send any user a private messaged by going to their profile and selecting Write a Message. You are notified of new messages through a blinking envelope at the top of the site. To view previous messages or to check new profile comments, go to Inbox & Comments under the My Account section.
- Editing Images- Once you upload an image, it is viewable under My Images in the My Account section. You may delete or edit any of your photos there.
Privacy
- Blocking a User- You may block a user from viewing your profile, photos, and from commenting. Visit the desired persons profile and click the Add to Friends link on the profile page. This will give you access to check their profile and ban their account. The user can be un-blocked by visiting the Blocked User feature under My Account.
- Image Upload Privacy- When uploading an image, you may change your Broadcast and Commenting Options. We recommend leaving them to the default settings so your photos can be searched and admired by the GradeMyClassroom.com community.
