Dear Fellow Teachers,
Welcome to GradeMyClassroom.com! After completing my student teaching, I was so excited to become a teacher and have my very own classroom. I had a love for education but I was also very interested in design. Early design shows like Trading Spaces fueled my passion for making spaces look better. Needless to say the way my classroom was designed and organized was very important to me!
After I accepted my first teaching job I was so thrilled. I could not wait to get into my own classroom and set everything up. I had an idea of what I wanted my room to look like, but I was interested in what other teachers’ classrooms looked liked and was searching for inspiration. The summer before my first year teaching I searched on the Internet for pictures of classrooms and was disappointed that there was not one place that offered what I was looking for. That is when I a saw a need that was not being met.
GradeMyClassroom.com was born and brought into reality in 2009. My hope for this website is to not only offer a quick way to search for classroom design ideas, but a place for teachers to show off all their hard work! I hope that this becomes a platform for teachers across the country to communicate and learn from one another. Most importantly, I hope this site inspires you to create an amazing learning environment for your students!

Site Description
GradeMyClassroom.com is an online social network of educators focused around the increasingly popular classroom design movement. GradeMyClassroom.com offers teachers ideas on classroom design through a user controlled online database of thousands of photos. Teachers create profiles and upload photos of their classrooms for the public to see. Users can comment, message, share, and grade the photos.
